Some explosive co-op action is coming our way, with Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 getting an August 25th release date announced today.
I’m going to have to grab this one.
Aliens is one of my all-time favourite movies and it really sounds like they’ve improved upon the first game.
They’ve confirmed the standard edition will be $49.99, and a Premium Edition will be $69.99 that seems to include a few skins and weapon variants.
More about it: “Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe.
This is not a rescue mission β itβs a fight for survival.
Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers.
Every room could be your last.
Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each classβs unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war.
With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.”
Check out the new trailer below:
A Bigger Co-Op Bug HuntNow with 4-player co-op, team-based mechanics offer deeper strategies and smoother coordination with your squad.
A variety of new classes and weapons each bring unique playstyles and tactical possibilities to the battlefield.
More Classes, More BuildsFive unique classes with major upgrades, plus a new Specialist endgame class for fully custom Marines.
A Never-Ending ConflictAn updated horde game mode offers additional challenges and fresh experiences with new rewards.
Deadlier ThreatsEncounter new and returning threats that will force you to adapt and rethink your combat strategies.
Smarter, more aggressive enemies that adapt to your tactics, providing a tougher, more dynamic challenge.
